F. Chopin - Mazurka Op. 7 n. 1

Mazurkas are tricky with that "their" rhythm, but that is precisely why they are fascinating because, in a certain sense, they are elusive, not "regular" like waltzes.
If I remember correctly, the peculiarity of the mazurka is the strong beat on the 2nd beat, right?
The only one I "played" and "studied" in 2000 was indeed op. 7, but number 2.
I need to listen to Chopin again; it has been too long since I last did so, and that is a bad thing.
Without a doubt, this no. 1 is more complex from both a compositional and an executive point of view; despite the audio not being exactly effective, but not bad either,
I discern confidence and great sensitivity in this performance.

This is one of my favorite mazurkas by Chopin. Although personally I don't believe I understand them as deeply as, for example, the Waltzes or the Etudes and Preludes.
