I have published a short analysis of three songs by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Ray
Charles. The guide aims to explain how a musical piece is constructed and developed,
even for those who are not musicians.

If you are interested in a nice book that addresses the analysis of "popular music" and it's:
"Everyday Tonality" by Philip Tagg.

Despite the very simple title, I actually think it treats the subject well with truly many examples and explaining harmonically what is happening.
It starts from truly basic concepts, reaching up to modal loops and bimodality.
