I posted something like this, among the first things that came to mind, but I would have liked to do better. I loved Di Giacomo; he lived in my area and we even chatted a couple of times. A bass player friend of mine, with whom I played hundreds of town square festivals as a boy, became his sound engineer for the Live in Japan project (which was "unplugged"); and the rehearsal room he shared with Vittorio Nocenzi was just a few hundred meters from our house.
He was a truly sweet, kind, and sincere person. He wasn't very talkative, unlike Vittorio Nocenzi who also loved to entertain himself after a concert by discussing things with his audience behind the stage; Francesco, on the other hand, would step aside, but only due to a sort of privacy/reserve of his own. Besides, he was a true poet. It was enough to propose something to him that, for him, had a poetic sense, and he would certainly agree regardless of any economic issues.
For me it was a disappointment, because I have always considered Banco the band from my neighborhood. In fact, once we even had the honor of being their "opening act," many years ago, during a series of festivals for the Roman Unità.
Perhaps I will take the trouble to illustrate the best works of Banco here, because they truly deserve to be known.
I am truly very sorry that he is gone.

What passion, what strength...., what honesty.
Mend than, looking back, we can find moments like this.
But today?
Thank you Croma. You make me start this beautiful sunny day well.

I am glad that at least here the passing of poor Di Giacomo has not gone unnoticed, I want to remember him like this

Unfortunately, I didn't know him.
I found information on Wikipedia.
