Good evening everyone, does anyone know how to slow down the tempo of a piece written with Sibelius 7.5? I've searched everywhere but I can't manage to slow it down and the set tempo is exaggerated.... It becomes unlistenable.

Thank you

You must create a Line specialized in Ritenuto; from the playback panel, specify the value.

I had replied privately to Antares but, if it might be useful to others, I am copying and pasting:

I am not familiar with version 7 because I use version 6. In any case, it shouldn't be different: in the playback bar (which you can activate from the general toolbar), you should have the slider to change the tempo of the entire piece. This, in any case, is set at the time of creating the document.

Another system, more detailed and which also allows you to change the tempo note by note (and thus make the playback more realistic) consists of selecting a note, then going to the create menu > text > metronome mark; then typing "q = n" (where n stands for a number greater or less than 100, which is the default tempo given to the document).

So: if you write "Allegro" at the beginning of the score, the playback will go at 120; or, if you write "Presto", it will go at 160. But, regardless of this, if you write q = 110 at the beginning, the piece will go at 110 (whatever tempo you have indicated with text, or regardless of whether you have indicated one).

This second system certainly works with version 7 as well and, if you are only interested in playback, you practically don't need to worry about either the playback slider or indicating "Andante", "Allegro", etc.

frank the problem is that on 6 I managed it easily, on 7 they changed various things and removed the bar that was in 6 to adjust it
