I am always and only surprised by a software for the acoustic correction of control rooms. The software in question is called ARC 2 by IK Multimedia; it comes supplied with a measurement microphone and a set of plugins that can be loaded into any DAW.
Obviously, it doesn't work miracles, and correction using sound-absorbing materials, bass traps, and diffusers is always the best approach, but considering the costs for physical acoustic treatment of a room, this software does its job very well.
