I just listened to it live from the Accademia di Santa Cecilia on Radio tre.

I am just returning from the Santa Cecilia Concert and I confirm that it was a high-level concert.

Netrebko, a bit weak in the performance of "Nel dì della vittoria" from Macbeth, grew during the Grand Scene of sleepwalking "Vegliammo invan due notti" and exploded in the Song to the Moon from Rusalka and in the encore Cecilia by Richard Strauss.

A very beautiful voice and stage presence.

Pappano, on the other hand, proved to be a bit rushed in Strauss's Till Eulenspiegel's Lustige Streiche.

One had the impression that he had constructed a program that was too long, in which he poured out bouquets of flowers to the singer and applause, and that at the end he was looking at his watch so as not to exceed the time limit. I hadn't realized there was a live radio broadcast, even though it was noted in the program, and perhaps the time limits were precisely because of that.
