I am referring to Slaughterhouse-Five, the film based on the eponymous novel by Vonnegut, soundtrack by Glenn Gould.
I didn't know about the film, the soundtrack is very fitting.
Speaking of this, I was thinking about the possibilities of music adhering to images, meaning when written beforehand.
Probably Gould put a lot of his own touch into the "selection"... he clearly knew Bach's repertoire well ... which he also performs

Given the presence of music not only for keyboard (among other things, Bach is not even mentioned), it seems exaggerated to me to claim that the soundtrack is by Glenn Gould ... as happens in the opening credits

It seems interesting to me that a classical music star would be available to work on a small science fiction film (magnificent film, but that is another matter)...
... and the intimate dimension of the film makes me think that the choice to write "Glenn Gould" instead of "Bach" was spot on ... in your opinion, does the music or its interpretation matter? In this sense, I agree with having written GG

But Soundtrack doesn't mean that the music "is of"; I think it is simply a translation problem in the Italian version

I don't know why, but from memory it seems to me that Gould composed something first... then it wasn't liked and they asked him to prepare a collage of music played by him.
Maybe I read it in some biography or interview, who knows!
