hi everyone,
does anyone by chance have the sheet music for Shostakovich's "Second Waltz," used by Kubrick in "Eyes Wide Shut"? that theme drives me crazy! not in the poetic sense of the term....but in a pathological sense! ;-p I mean, I like it so much that I can't get it out of my head; it even resonates in my sleep.
so, so that the damage is complete, I would like to get the sheet music to study it and to understand the reason for all this!

I don't think Shostakovich's scores are available on IMSLP yet, I fear they are still under copyright

I don't know how to help you but I listened to it and... I understand you. It moves me a lot too.
I also have short pieces that have tormented me (in a good way) just as happens to you with Second Waltz.

I find the piano versions a bit too reductive, the original orchestral version definitely conveys more.
