So first of all, I'm opening the topic; the harpsichord in question is a German spinet by J. H. Silbermann built in 1767 and kept in Nuremberg.
First, I will provide a link to a copy of the instrument, then in the coming days I will describe it before moving on to the construction part with photos.

So, a brief introduction to start: it is a wing spinet dating from 1767, made of oak wood veneered with walnut externally and internally; my version, given that the client wants to decorate it, will be in poplar and that's it.
A 5-octave keyboard from F to F with a single 8' register. The structure is the classic German one which I will show in some photos, with a series of supports for the counter-braces and partitions glued to the bottom to keep them stable.
Another curious thing: Silbermann nailed down with small wooden nails practically everything that can be nailed.
Compared to the original, there will be some aesthetic differences and changes in woods; apart from the visible frames and on the bridges, I will not use walnut, and the lid, which was originally mirrored, will be flat in order to have more space to make a painting inside.
As can be seen from the photo, the keyboard is ebony on the diatonic keys and would have ivory on the chromatic ones... which I will probably replace with bone, unless I find reclaimed ivory from old pianos.
