Taylor Swift seems to have provided a good introductory overview regarding the issue of copyright. If they are called "copyright," it means they should go to the author, but instead, the process is so long that the author sees maybe 20% of the money coming in from their rights; the rest is all swallowed up by SIAE and the producer... It doesn't seem correct at all! I believe the percentage for the author should be much higher, also because they don't ask the consumer even two cents for the rights... It is true that Spotify is the largest streaming distributor, but 5 billion dollars in 8 years since opening is no small feat; it's 5000 million dollars!!
