...but certainly look at a sample either at the extreme highs or the extreme lows. Warning: if you think about replacing the springs because the escapement studs (or pushers) are not returning... check if there are impediments due to friction. By strengthening the springs, you would do nothing more than increase the hardness. .....In general, it is unlikely that the springs need to be replaced.....they are only meant to provide a small return push; but if the pusher pin is sluggish... then it is not wise to strengthen the spring. The pins must be replaced (a task that seems easy... but should instead be carried out by an "expert" technician.

Naturally, also check the hammer and jack pins. It is important!!!!

Ensure that during replacement, the pins are oversized by one size and the holes in the cashmere [bushings] are bored with straight reamers!!!!!!!!

P.S. sometimes the springs look deformed because you don't see them straight in their seat... they can be a bit arched if they are of light manufacture (i.e., not robust)... but it doesn't mean that it is correct!!!!!
