I am a new member and I have been playing the piano for a short time. I can't quite understand how to articulate and play staccato; if anyone has anything to suggest or any lesson_links.

Thank you and compliments on this site, truly well done.

There are many types of staccato, which one in particular interests you? What is the graphic sign you see in the score and to which composer are you referring?

Or do you need some general notions?

As Destroyed rightly says, there are different types of staccato depending on the type of sound one wants to achieve.

Wrist staccato, arm staccato, and finger staccato.

The first, the wrist one, produces a detached sound

The second, a portato sound

The third, an incisive sound

In fact, despite being a percussion instrument, the piano produces different timbres depending on the various pianistic gestures adopted.

Welcome Francesco. As Simone rightly says, there are several types of staccato. His indications are precise. We need to see which coordination difficulties you are encountering. It is important how the muscles of the forearm and the arm intervene and how the wrist is coordinated to perform its task as a "shock absorber"
