It is pure stupidity... thinking that Barenboim doesn't know how to conduct Verdi and prefers to conduct Wagner can only be the opinion of someone lacking musical knowledge. Besides, La Scala's 2013 season is SPECTACULAR, full of operas, full of Verdi, and full of Wagner. I am quite in favor of Lissner's management; La Scala has an immense repertoire of Verdi productions, but few Wagnerian productions. Thanks to him, he is setting them up, attracting the world's attention
