To the notes of Stravinsky's famous score, which evokes the world of Russian traditions with the almost barbaric rituals of weddings, Mauro Bigonzetti's Les noces transforms into an 'elegant struggle between men and women, danced around a table. An abstract ballet, formal with its rigid and precise gestures, almost statuesque, recalling a type of aestheticizing and frigid beauty.
Color is absent to make room for a precise black and white with a slight hint of red; the gesture is clean, rigorous to emphasize the strength of the ritual being performed.
The costumes in their refinement are almost stylized, precise in their thousand folds.
Intermezzo is Mauro Bigonzetti's new creation, set to the score of Suite Italienne. On stage, four pairs of dancers for a choreography that transmits a great and uniform harmony: the pure pleasure of dance
paired with the aesthetic pleasure of technique and form.
