I have tried many string libraries but never one that sufficiently satisfied me. Nothing to say about the sampling quality, but they are only sufficient for creating pedals or simple melodies. Creating a part in triplets at 100-120 bpm is enough to demonstrate their ineffectiveness.

Do you have any recommendations for some decent VSTs?

... I think it's a rhetorical question. Which ones have you tried? I ask because if you have tried several (many), I doubt that yet another one will satisfy you.

East west, cinematic orchestra, 8dio strings, and many others, but none that are capable of playing good quadruplets or triplets at an animated speed. These VSTs are only good for creating string pedals. I was doing well with Edirol Orchestra; even though the sounds weren't great, it at least allowed me to perform certain parts. Unfortunately, I believe it is one of the few, if not the only one, that is not produced for Mac? .
