hello everyone,
i am writing something with a 2014 ending that involves a long period of rests, specifically: 12 measures.
how do you reduce them into a single measure that nevertheless contains the indication of the actual rests (i.e., relative to the 12 measures)?
i remember having done it before and i remember it wasn't difficult. i would select the empty measures i wanted to 'summarize' and then... here I have a memory lapse! :-S
who can give me a hand, please?

Do you need it to be printed or for MIDI? If it were just to be printed, you could do a single measure and write it in text form (12 measures).. I can't help you more because unfortunately I don't use Finale much..

Bingo! I remembered!
- select the measures of interest
- right click and select: "MULTIMEASURE RESTS"
- select "CREATE"
e that's it
