Happy New Year, today while I was practicing the piano I wanted to search on the internet to understand the purpose of the left pedal, and after doing some research I discovered that it should move each hammer to strike only one string instead of striking those it normally hits. Instead, my pedal moves the hammers closer to the strings, and at this point I wonder if this movement is correct and therefore varies from piano to piano or if it is a malfunction of my pedal. I would like to specify that mine is a Yamaha hamamatsu 2356011 upright piano
