Surprise: they are demolishing the public university

I remember with regret an intervention by the unfortunately now deceased astrophysicist Margherita Hack on the subject of universities. I don't remember the exact words, but she said that the future of the human race lies in universities and research. How could she be wrong? I believe that the powerful people of the world have a project, which is not the good of the world but looking after their own interests by doing so in the most cunning way possible without the masses noticing. By cutting the legs out from under universities, or to put it bluntly, by giving the impression that nowadays a piece of paper is no longer useful, people do not learn, and feeding lies to ignorant people is much easier than administering them to those who know how the world works. I will be so sorry for my children and for future generations to whom I would like to leave a better world, based on respect for rules and for one's neighbor, protecting the environment and eliminating the terrorist policies that we are living through today.
