Hi Guys! I have noticed that many pianists have problems regarding hand positioning. What is your main problem regarding this topic?

Good morning Rosa. But I stiffen up, I am a bit anxious and I already start from the assumption that I will make mistakes. When instead I tend to relax, my elbows go out to the sides; let's just say I don't have a very elegant position, but I am a beginner, and I am trying to correct myself a bit by watching other pianists. The problem is that I am very tall, 2.07m, and I can't always find the right position. You should see how I sit inside a car! So, since I don't have to perform for an audience, I try to maintain the most relaxed position possible.

Good grief! 2.07 m and how do you put your legs under the keyboard? They don't fit for me, and I am 1.95m tall.

I have a very tall pianist friend; she arrives at the concert in heels... then she takes off her shoes and plays "barefoot". A marvel

(like some organists)
