I read comments from various friends, one opposing the other, regarding the ending of Turandot rewritten by Berio (on stage yesterday at La Scala). Some appreciate it very much, others reject it without appeal. In general, a highly appreciated show, in stark contrast to the Expo opening broadcast last night.
