the fourth... whose?

i am thinking of a curious and - naturally - accidental parallel: Beethoven Mahler.

it seems to me that each of the two quartets, more than all the other eight by the same author, deserves the adjective... adorable. ... coincidences.

Brahms's Fourth is certainly not 'adorable'... with its wonderful tone suspended between lyrical and epic
