Nice piece, it makes you think of the sound of a cartoon or a commercial.

As I was telling Daniele, the ear is made of what we listen to... and at that age, a slice of listening comes from cartoons

It tends a bit towards "minimalism" ... but I find the central part interesting, barring great expansion. What can I say, all that matters to me is that he had fun.

...but then, let's admit it, you can feel that his father is a contemporary composer and that, consequently, he has direct contact with more current sounds. No?

... let's say that she followed an "alternative" compositional methodology, it would even be interesting to talk about it: "how to teach 'composition' to a preschool-aged child". Everyone is concerned with how to teach 'how to play'... but what about writing?

True! It would be very interesting to talk about it. However, YOU and those who compose could do that, and I would very gladly come to drink from your fountain.

An aspect that I have never liked about programs dedicated to performances (especially) in the musical field is that they have always privileged interpretation rather than the construction of a piece. I understand that if things were reversed, the timing would expand; this is the result (and I know this word very well) of having been in a "hurry," but from my point of view (I have been making this argument for years, not just since tonight), it would be just as, perhaps even more interesting, to promote a program (I understand this is not relevant to the discussion, but I took the opportunity to talk about it since it immediately came to mind) in which people (like the forum workshops) show how they approach writing a piece; I think the same thing regarding dance: why not promote a different approach by proposing to create choreographies (or at least try to) instead of proposing oneself in a purely physical performance? But we know how TV works and more. Do you remember Bravo bravissimo? It was hosted by Bongiorno, and only once did it happen that I heard a child say that he was about to perform shortly (it seems to me on the harpsichord), that he was starting to compose a piece.

If I'm not mistaken, in some editions of Amici, candidates appeared who had followed a training path as singer-songwriters ... which means writing a piece. Even Italia's Got Talent leaves room for everyone. Perhaps all this desire is lacking in composers (yet I remember a boy who presented his own songs a couple of editions ago); certainly, the world of performers has stepped forward on more occasions.
I also remember the splendid Musicomici
