Piero Angela seems to me to have said something truly sensible:
The teacher is the person to whom a parent entrusts the most precious thing their child possesses: the brain. They entrust it to them so that you transform it into a thinking object. But the teacher is also the person to whom the State entrusts its most precious thing: the collective of brains, so that they may become the country of tomorrow.

I respect Angela and must say that, in my view, she almost always says things I agree with. However, in journalism, one must sometimes have the courage to follow concepts through, to reach conclusions, and not just "throw a stone." I hope that in this case the concept has found a development of ideas and probable solutions. Unfortunately, teachers are increasingly less prepared (but not everyone, fortunately!) and their dedication is not always total. The Teacher, educator, mentor is becoming increasingly rare. Even the Pupil who allows themselves to be guided serenely and with confidence is increasingly rare. There is an "alchemy" that must be properly fulfilled. A good result depends on the preparation and Culture of the Teacher... and on the availability of the Pupil. ....There would be a thousand and a thousand other considerations to make, but I leave the debate open...
