the problem is, and it's serious! perhaps more grave than what leaks from this video.

a friend of mine who works in the cybersecurity sector for banks was telling me.

even if only a small part of the whole, just in that environment they are already realizing how much

the manipulation or rather, the reprogramming of social masses is underway and at what level it has reached;

and its run is not over. BIG DATA.... those in the industry call them that; information upon information, meta-information upon meta-information gleaned from every one of our even apparently sterile online behaviors.... for example, searching for a synonym of a word, a strudel recipe, the route to reach a destination on google maps, giving a "like" to a post on facebook, taking a photo with a smartphone, etc.

this magma is so extensive that, in reality, even those acting in bad faith are not totally able to understand its potential and opportunities. anything we do on the internet, even the most trivial, is monitored... either by physical persons or by software that collect and process info on our behaviors to extrapolate statistical information useful for various purposes... both good and bad. and to me, all of this, inspires a lot of fear... a whole lot!!!

Thank you for the food for thought Frank, I don't think the point of view is personal. I agree with what was also mentioned by Scalaquaranta and we all have the possibility to evaluate the damage caused by these infernal manipulations.

My solution indeed; although I must say that personally I have always made marginal use of it...(even my Facebook page will have maybe one post a year.. ha ha) was to realize my superiority in deciding whether or not to do something, regarding only music or art in general (real dopamine!!) I couldn't help myself, certainly because it is made of myself and true values of love, fraternity... philanthropy in general, and let's add whatever else we want.

I created the Facebook page for the shop I had and my personal one believing it was something living and vital, for a cultural exchange but... it is not like that!! The problem is that it might not even be like that, in the sense that one could truly increase people's culture with these means but it isn't being done. In the end, the terribleness of the medium is precisely the same face as its possible "positivism" (how much good it has done in the world, he said in the interview) with the usual mechanism whereby, whoever asks you for something, must first give you something else or rather create a "need"... this.. my goodness... is the true monstrosity.

Personally, it is and will always be possible to use everything and every means but... watch out!! I will never lose sight of the true values of the world, of morality and of humanity.
