I've already had enough of this "fad," it makes me think of balconing and other stupidities. Let's see if they have the courage to do the same thing at 20 degrees below zero. It is a fad (to me), since in practice it has spread all over the world and is an excuse to get filmed and maybe go viral on YouTube.

The real question is: what is it even for? With all the problems there are on earth... but who cares. Excuse my frankness.

It's all "nonsense," forgive the colorful language. If they truly wanted to help research, since they are all VIPs, they should compete to see who can write the check with the highest amount, rather than competing over who pours more liters of cold water on their heads. That would actually be a way to seriously help research. Moreover, this publicity stunt is at the very least questionable in my view. People who do not have this disease throwing buckets of water over their heads—it being obvious that this has become a fad and therefore a game—is something that makes me shudder when I think about the mindset of those who actually have the disease and have to see these clowns pouring buckets over their heads to show off bare-chested, increasing popularity and clicks on the internet. I truly think it is an act of infinite baseness. If I had their economic potential, I would refuse to lend myself to such bullshit and would send a nice check to the main research centers in Italy where they make life-saving discoveries for millions of people, despite these people boasting that researchers are the lowest paid in the world!
