soon the tuner will arrive for the first time to tune my piano that I bought last year.......I know it is a very delicate procedure so I wanted to know how I can recognize if the one coming is a good tuner and what I should look out for to recognize if he isn't (does he also have to do the intonation/voicing)?.....suggestions are welcome thanks1000

If the piano is new and has been in the shop for a long time, it must be tuned extensively. Check that the A is at 440. Generally, one tunes "forte," stabilizes "fortissimo," and listens to "piano." In the tutorial regarding tuning, it explains how to try the thirds F-A, A-C#, C#-F; F-A. The extreme parts, if played simultaneously, must sound in tune.
Regarding intonation, you must decide for yourself if you judge the general timbre to be harsh or the timbre between note and note to be discontinuous only in some regions of the keyboard. Every expert tuner performs a slight intonation and does not modify the general timbre of the instrument, the timbre for which the owner chose it among others. A look at the regulation wouldn't hurt either, nor at the pedal regulation.
