Hello,
I have a Yamaha upright piano (U1) that has remained unused for about 6/7 years. Now I intend to start playing again and first I would like to perform a regulation/tuning (which will probably need to be done in two stages). However, I find that the piano (without using pedals) has a sound that is too "dry" (even when compared to other pianos), in the sense that the notes played seem to lack sustain. It is as if as soon as the hammer hits the strings they are immediately blocked. This lack of "resonance" has always been present (even when the piano was well-tuned). I would like to know if it is possible to correct this "problem" with specific adjustments to be carried out during the regulation.
Thank you in advance
