Here I am, I'm here too.. Stefano from Turin; nice to meet you. I am 50 years old and change, an employee and whatnot, with a great regret of never having studied a musical instrument. Now I am at an unsuitable 'age', stiff and collapsed. A wreck. I am fascinated by those white and black keys with infinite combinations. But how can one master them? When I was younger, my mother gave me a keyboard for Christmas, one of those with many sounds, many rhythms, many... I spent a lot of time impressing my friends... but then I ran out of sounds... and it stayed there for a long time, it has no dynamics, it's not weighted even though it weighs a ton.. Every now and then I turn it on, and those sounds (besides reminding me of my friends) remind me of my mother and perhaps the sacrifices she must have made to give me this thing, which in some way binds us in memories. A self-taught beginner recently.. I bought the Beyer, I help myself with YouTube.. and I read everything and listen to everything. I would so much like to learn Chopin's nocturnes... or Marcello Debenedetto's Adagio, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, all things that give me goosebumps when I listen to them; the Nocturnes in particular, those by Rubinstein. How beautiful... But why didn't she give me a ball like all moms do? Well... I'll stick with Beyer... and I won't complain. At 50-something (so to speak) I haven't played anything, not even the flute that they force you to buy in middle school... at least once it was like that.. and they would flex on you making you feel 'Gamma'.. from that famous Rai TV series.. and you couldn't wait to get home to try it... and the most that came out was the condensed saliva that formed inside.. bleak! well at least it came out, rather than... this thing was well made. So I am studying the Beyer, even though there isn't even a single figure, a photograph inside for encouragement; nothing! I am thinking of changing instruments, even if when I think about it it hurts, because why, because.. but in an apartment building I couldn't afford a traditional instrument, my neighbor already puts up with me without a piano, in short everything has a limit.. So I was opting for a digital piano, which I could also play with headphones. I went around a few shops, even if I'm a bit ashamed.. (not a bit) you walk in there, the little man shows you several models starting in various scales and you realize that you'll only have the memory of the Beyer left.. and then he says please, go ahead and try it... and there you go into Mr. Bean mode... anyway I was saying I've listened to many; Yamaha P45, 125, Kurzweil KA90 which for some reason that "KA" makes me think of the Klingons from Star Trek, not that Kurzweil can be pronounced effortlessly, in fact the shopkeeper probably pronounced it correctly and I thought he was talking about another brand.. and anyway I don't know, it seemed to me like I could hear a metallic, unnatural timbre.. then the Casios... but didn't they make watches?? ... with ten thousand sounds and there my friends came to mind... then I listened to the Kawais... I was tempted to ask if they were the same ones that made those waist bags/fanny packs.. but I held back, and I liked them.. Beautiful Kawais... one made me feel the PMSE7 and wow.. how beautiful, the metallic timbre was gone.. a bit more expensive perhaps but even when they sold fanny packs they weren't joking and I went back several times to hear the PMSE7, certainly they could have given it a friendlier name.. and really nice.. the keyboard in particular even though I tried it every time the guy walked away.. and also beautiful to look at, in short even the eye wants its part... but I thought about listening to more things... there we go.. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance!

Hi Stefano! Thank goodness your mom gave you that keyboard. What are you going to do with a ball? Would you rather kick a ball around or play a musical instrument?

Kawai instruments are excellent instruments, but also keep Casio in mind. In my opinion, they have recently surpassed Yamaha.
