If you should have any problems using the platform or simply if you are not happy with this latest release, let me know; it will always be possible to return to the old state since a preventive backup has been made.
You might notice a bit of slowness in using the forum during the first few hours after the update. This is due to the database rebuild, an operation that is carried out in the background and consequently slows down server performance.

Unfortunately no. To perform the update, I had to migrate the entire database to a new server that had MySQL version 5.6. In order to then use the forum core, I had to convert all the DB tables with the 4-byte UTF8 collation and perform a rebuild. It is precisely during the rebuild phase that all notifications and actions that track read topics, etc., etc., are lost.
Let me know how you find it. Worst case scenario, we can always roll back to the old version, but without moving from there again; however, in that version, we have the security problem, with spam users signing up left and right. Banning them is easy enough, but it's always a pain. This version seems quite intuitive to me, just like the other one, so I don't think adapting to this new release will be a big problem. In any case, as I repeat, if you want to go back to the previous version, let me know by this Sunday (February 25th). Keep in mind that in the old version, we will roll back to February 19th, so all content written from then until the 25th will be permanently lost.
I often check the forum from my smartphone and in my opinion the mobile version, without even trying (or is it?), is better than the previous one, clearer and also seems lighter to me.

You can also do it in this version in a faster way, and you can do it for any user, unlike the previous version. If you go to the top right on 'show unread content', you will find yourself on a screen where there is a series of filters, and you can even save these filters so that you can choose the ones you use most often without wasting time resetting them (I remind you that filters are combinable with each other, meaning you can apply multiple filters together). If you only apply the ownership filter to all content and search by username, you can track down all the replies given by a particular user (including yourself) from their registration date to today. So this function is not only still there but has been implemented in a way that, in my opinion, is even more complete than the previous one.
