hello everyone,

i have transcribed the theme of "HIGHWAY TO HELL" into a simple sheet music (which I will have my students use to begin a theoretical-practical approach to rock music, to teach them how to "read" a rock music score). Using Finale 2014, I created the attached file. As you will see, in the first measures I used a rhythmic font (which I obtained by writing it first with normal notes; then, by selecting the measure in question, right-clicking -> staff style -> apply staff style -> 02 rhytmic notation.

it is a rhythmic-harmonic ostinato that accompanies the entire verse, sung by the solo voice.

I was unable to transform the notes relative to the ostinato (the high Gs) into the same rhythmic notation, while keeping the normal notes of the melodic line unchanged.

could you tell me how to do it?

thanks

Tools --> advanced tools --> special tools -->Notehead shape tool

Choose the layer where you inserted the high sol and then double-click the mouse on the notehead...select the notehead you are interested in
