yesterday I bought a used Furstein night&day upright at a good price and in very good condition, it was sold to me by a restorer; this is my first acoustic piano (for years I have always studied on digitals) and I am already having fantastic experiences.
This morning a small problem occurred: I noticed that the middle G (key 47) started making a strange noise upon release, and opening the piano I saw that the small piece of felt where the escapement lever rests has detached and bent downwards, so the noise is indeed due to the impact between the wood of the lever and the wood where it rests.
Since it seems like minor damage to me, I wanted to ask you if and how I could proceed; I have never disassembled a key, but I am a mechanical technician so I have decent accuracy and manual dexterity.

If I understood correctly, it is that red, square-shaped felt where the escapement lever rests.
First of all, you must remove the action from the piano because otherwise it is not possible to reach that area.
Once the action is placed on a workbench, you must unhook that small strap (bretellina) from its metal piece and finally unscrew the screw
relating to that block in order to remove said block.
Afterward, if there is enough space, you can reattach the felt to the hammer knob without removing the hammer; otherwise, if it is too tight, you must also unscrew the screw that tightens the hammer cap (forcola).
I opted for a rougher method... I pulled the key out, unhooked the strap and since I couldn't unscrew the screw, with some long tweezers I removed the felt, applied a little PVA glue (also a bit on the felt) being careful not to smear the leather with a small brush.
for now it seems to hold, but tomorrow morning I will do the official test
