'The Bremen Town Musicians' - Cada die Teatro & Banda Comunale Giuseppe Verdi di Sinnai
music model and text by Angelo Sormani; conductor Maestro Lorenzo Pusceddu; narrator Silvestro Ziccardi; lights by Giovanni Schirru; staging by Mauro Mou
The show is born from the collaboration between Cada Die Teatro and the Banda Comunale Giuseppe Verdi di Sinnai, one of the most interesting Italian Symphonic bands. Composed of about forty members, it performs under the direction of Maestro Lorenzo Pusceddu "The Bremen Town Musicians" by composer Angelo Sormani. The famous fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm is narrated by actor Silvestro Ziccardi with the complicity of the musicians and the conductor. It tells the story of a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster who, to escape a sad fate, decide to go to the city of Bremen to play in the municipal band. Along the way, their plans will change, and they will decide to settle in the comfortable home they have earned through cunning and initiative, to live together happily ever after. The musical performance by the band and the engaging narration of the fairy tale make it a show suitable for all ages.
