I have an old Weinbach; my husband used to attend the conservatory when he was a child. I am passionate about music and enjoy playing; I took piano lessons for two years. The tuner said that this piano is poor quality, but I like the sound, it is soft; he wants me to buy a Yamaha, but isn't the sound of German pianos a bit too bright?
It is a Czechoslovakian piano equivalent to the old Petrofs. It definitely needs to be overhauled and tuned. It could be very low in pitch and not reveal, therefore, its true voice, which it would fully regain by bringing it to 440 pitch....but with great caution. It seems to be in good condition...but as it is, it does not sound to the best of its abilities!
