Hello FRANCESCOklavier, Welcome to Pianoconcerto.it. Feel free to explore the various sections and get to know the other users. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay on Pianoconcerto.it, but in the meantime, tell us about yourself... The Administrator
My name is Francesco Piccini and I am from Florence. I have been playing the piano since I was 10 years old (I am now 31), but unfortunately, I play only as a hobby; I am an electronics technician. In a few weeks, I will move to Germany, where I will begin training as a klavierbauer, i.e., a piano technician (piano builder). I am a bit worried about my language level, which is still intermediate; I will rely on YouTube videos and this forum to learn also in my own language. Pianos and music have always been extremely important elements in my life.
I believe I will ask you many questions; in return, I will be able to bring you live news from the world of pianos in Germany.
Does anyone have this new edition of "Piano Nomenclature" by Schimmel visible in the link below? It's the only one I've managed to find online; I would be interested to know if the nomenclature translations are present, at least in German, because I am going to study in Germany. The old edition, which is clearly in 6 languages, unfortunately cannot be found anymore!
I think it really is. I don't own it (I have the old ed.) but from what I know, the new one also adds new vocabulary. Anyway, why not ask the publisher directly?
