Thank you for the welcome to the site.
By pure coincidence, I found you on YouTube during a search I was conducting on sight-reading.
I am a Public Administration official.
I have studied music with various teachers since the age of 12, later dedicating myself to my main instrument, which is the drums, further perfecting myself first with an orchestra professor from San Carlo in Naples (percussionist) and subsequently with the well-known Neapolitan jazzman Antonio Golino, father of the equally well-known Alfredo Golino, who was already a staff drummer at RAI in Milan.
I have played in some Neapolitan light music orchestras, accompanying many famous singers and having the pleasure of playing alongside truly talented professionals. Unfortunately, having a stable job has not allowed me to become a professional drummer, but I am happy nonetheless.
In these years, without obviously betraying my instrument, I have had approaches with other instruments that I like: electric bass, piano, and B-flat trumpet, with decent results.
For a drummer, I believe it is nevertheless extremely important to know harmony, read music, and know how to play, at least decently, the main harmonic-rhythmic-melodic instrument, which is obviously the piano. By doing so, one will play the drums much better without the risk of disturbing the other orchestral players and making the necessary interventions during the piece, with full awareness, respecting the role that each instrumentalist has in the orchestral ensemble.
I am mainly interested in your videos of performance and piano technique.
Have a good day
