Happy to be here, I am not experienced with forums, I will try to learn. Here one is asked to tell something ... ok... : For almost a month I have been fighting a battle against woodworms, and this to save a beautiful piano, the one my grandfather bought choosing it among many at the place where they were built.

Welcome Marrock. The woodworm does not survive if the instrument is played. The small holes can be plugged, and it is advisable to preemptively disinfect them with a syringe using an anti-woodworm treatment. It may not be a definitive solution, but it is effective... and sometimes even conclusive. Consider that when there is a tiny hole, the woodworm has come out! But through some of these small holes, you can reach some larvae remaining inside. Good luck with your work

Hello and thank you all for the advice!

Yes, unfortunately, the woodworms had a period of belligerence when the house where the piano is located remained uninhabited for almost a year.

In the past, this beloved piano had the same problem, but it wasn't I who dealt with it, but rather my father's sister, a piano graduate.

This aunt of mine maintained it quite well by playing and having young musicians play it.

Now I live in this house and the woodworms have bitten me, so this war against the woodworms has begun; I think it won't last less than a year... now excuse me, I have the tuner over there... it's the first time I've seen him tune. Greetings to all and see you soon!

Whoever finds a
