Hi, my name is Marcello Benelli, I am 38 years old and I am from Ravenna.

I started studying piano last year in September; I had been totally detached from the world of music for a couple of years after an experience of about a decade dedicated to the guitar (classical, folk, and especially electric).

So I started with some advantages (reading, notation, theory, and solfeggio were already in my toolkit because I had nonetheless taken theory as a private student at the conservatory and followed a multi-year jazz/rock guitar course at a private academy) compared to a complete beginner, but obviously piano technique is entirely different and so day after day I face new problems and new challenges!

Playing the piano gives me unexpected emotions every day and I feel very complete as a musician (finally harmony and melody are both in my hands).

At the moment I am working on studying "Nefeli" by L. Einaudi and a waltz by Chopin.

I hope and am sure that I can get a lot out of this forum, thank you for welcoming me!
