Good morning everyone. My name is Massimiliano and I am almost 63 years old. I am new to the forum and in truth, it is also the very first time that I have ever signed up for a forum. Lately, I have consulted many of them, even abroad, to get an idea. I am a piano novice. It has been my dream since I was a child to be able to play the piano, but for 100,000 reasons plus one, I have never been able to do so. Finally, 2 months ago, I started. And it is with considerable effort that I approach this extraordinary world. My expectations are only to be able to play, for my own pleasure, some classical music scores. Obviously, I certainly do not expect to be able to reach playing Rachmaninov or Liszt within 7-8 years, but I fervently hope for something a little more at my level. In addition to all the problems intrinsic to studying music and the fact that those few neurons remaining active in my head bang like madmen when I try to combine hand movements while simultaneously trying to read all those ink spots on the staff, other problems arise. Currently, I am studying on a digital piano (Kawai CA 5) which, as far as I am concerned, is an excellent instrument for learning, but I go into paranoia when I have lessons on my teacher's acoustic piano. I realized that my piano is an extraordinary household appliance!!! And that is why I joined your forum. By consulting it, I realized I could find a myriad of information and contacts to be able to choose what will be my piano. I take this opportunity to thank Maestro Ferrarelli, with whom I have already been in contact, who has given me a wealth of information that will be very useful at the time of choice.
