I am a musician, as my nickname suggests, although at the moment I practice a slightly different profession, being an engineer as well.
I grew up in the world of music, playing the violin since I was a child, and subsequently the piano. I graduated from the conservatory in violin, but my true passion has always been writing music, a passion that I have pursued over the years alongside whatever other activity I was performing.
Recently, driven by the desire to completely challenge myself again, I decided to re-enroll (at the age of 36 now!!) in the conservatory to study composition, with the intention of filling the numerous technical gaps that I realize I have, as I have always been a self-taught person in this field.
I discovered this site by chance, and I must say that I was particularly struck both by the high number of topics discussed in the forum and by the competence and preparation found in the comments.
I humbly join you, with the hope of being able to make my own, albeit small, contribution.
Andrei, the violin is a wonderful instrument. It's a pity we are far apart, otherwise I would have asked you to test our compatibility to play together. Best wishes for your compositional journey
Why not! L'Aquila is a city that I hold in my heart, because I graduated from the Conservatory named after A. Casella and I have beautiful memories of studying there.
