and then I am asking you if anything comes to mind that is short, brilliant and well-known (audience of non-experts) in the vein of Granados, Albeniz etc. apart from Asturias or Libertango (which in my opinion are too long)....

It wouldn't be bad. Spanish dances are also incredible, I love them. The minuet and the Sarabande are nice, very energetic and lively for an encore. Plus they have a good duration.. 4 min. or 3.. Beautiful.

they are both beautiful....and I think that in the end I will choose one of these two. maybe Andaluza because it has that extra touch of showmanship that the audience likes very much and after a rather gothic and "dark" program, it provides just the right contrast.
