What do you think of the Yamaha U1?

I have a 1982 U1, bought used... Never had the slightest problem except for one broken string

I have a used U1 from 1975. I've had some problems that you can see in the topic "it's all because of those little strings".

As Hans says, all of those from that period have had that problem. If you decide on that model, make sure of the year of construction or check its condition.

I thank you for the advice, I'm going to go check immediately regarding the problem you mentioned... anyway, I think it isn't that many years old and if it is, it is truly kept very well, including the action ...but I will find out!

You can verify the year of construction yourself. Take a photo of the serial number you find at the top right by lifting the top lid.

So watch out for the incriminating cords. If you can, ask to have them checked, perhaps by someone you trust. In case you decide to make the purchase.
