Hello, could someone recommend some very elementary music scores to start playing by reading notes on a sheet? I have completed the first twenty exercises of Hanon and the Pozzoli solfeggio first course, and I would like to play something by reading music. Thank you.
There is a very rapid system for learning to read clefs. I have suggested it in the past to many students who were even learning to read the seventh clef for their solfeggio exam. This should take place within two weeks. So, for just the treble clef and bass clef... one week should be more than sufficient. The method concerns note reading only and does not replace a solfeggio course, which must, anyway, be studied (at least Pozzoli 1, appendix---Ciriaco 1, appendix to the first course. Pozzoli third course, appendix to the third course, some singing by Pozzoli and some easy musical dictation).
Mario 59, I suggest to you and not only you, a potential video tutorial that I will make shortly on the note-reading-only method (note recognition), Simone's commitments permitting. In the same video, I would also like to propose a summary and an update regarding the tutorials already created. See you soon
The tutorial idea is an excellent one. The ones you have already done have taught me several things; it is an opportunity for continuous review. It is natural that each of us, myself included, has our own piano teacher, but what is done during an hour of lesson can never replace the possibility of reviewing certain concepts via video. The ability to listen to a well-executed solfeggio every time one wants could be a truly excellent thing. There are several videos about this on YouTube, but none of those I have seen approach the problem systematically, with order and the right progression. Thank you very much for your work, see you soon.
