On the eve of the Grammy Awards, the music world must say goodbye to Whitney Houston. The American singer and actress died at the age of 48.

Her body was found in a room on the fourth floor of a hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. "At 3:55 PM local time (00:55 in Italy, editor's note) Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at the Beverly Hilton hotel," said police spokesperson Mark Rosen. There do not appear to be "signs of assault," but for now the causes of her death are still under investigation.

Whitney Houston's premature disappearance was unfortunately expected. Her success was as sudden as her decline. The strength of her voice could do nothing against her personal problems: the singer tried to overcome moments of depression, mostly due to the failure of her marriage to singer Bobby Brown, which lasted from 1992 to 2006, by using cocaine, marijuana, and various pills. In the recent period, some US media had captured her in almost unrecognizable condition.

Every time I read this news, I shudder!! Not because of death itself, although it is quite painful, but because of the manner in which it occurs.

Depression, not living life, brings many people closer to drugs (perhaps even more so in the music world).

I cannot understand how people with such striking qualities can be brought down by life. Perhaps it is to be attributed to the way they achieve success. Their cursed talent that catapults them into the center of attention when their soul is not yet ready.

The pleasure of making music should come before success. Singing and playing just for the pleasure of doing so.

A voice that will remain in history. Goodbye Whitney Houston

Honor and sweet memory for a great singer, beautiful and talented, with an extraordinary voice and extraordinary talent. Unfortunately, sometimes the Artist can no longer, perhaps, find contact with the surrounding World; they can no longer share. They are alone. They feel uselessly "high up," detached, beyond success, with their solitude. But they do not die, they do not fade away. They cannot die, if they have passed through the World succeeding in expressing their Divine part.

Today the music world mourns one of its greatest artists. And yes, Whitney Houston was (how terrible to use this imperfect tense) one of my very few favorite singers, perhaps even the absolute first. However, perhaps it is certainly a limitation of mine, I just don't understand how people who had everything in life (Health, talent, beauty, fame, money, etc. etc.) can suddenly turn to drugs. How they can think they are alone when there are a billion people in the world who see them as goddesses. Personally, I do not justify drug use and I do not justify people dying from drug use because they had problems. There are people who do not have Whitney's notoriety in the world and who perhaps have much more serious problems but try to solve them by relying on psychologists and psychiatrists instead of taking refuge in drugs. I am sorry, but as much as I admired her and still admire her today now that she is no longer here, from an artistic standpoint, in the same way I do not justify her for how she let her life decline. Perhaps it is "having everything" that causes a desire to transcend and experiment with new things in these people, but not drugs, definitely not that. Perhaps I am also speaking a bit out of anger since we will no longer have the luck of listening to a voice as fascinating as Whitney Houston's except on record but, like Michael Jackson who passed away from excessive abuse of medication and body transformation surgeries, not only do I not justify it, but I believe these are just rich people's games. As I said before, I repeat, there are people who have not had their luck and who have much more serious problems but who, with willpower and an attachment to the gift of life, instead try to preserve it as much as possible without relying on these solutions which, on the contrary, are an elevator toward oblivion. I believe Houston will be missed by the entire global music landscape, but the recordings of her wonderful voice will remain forever.

Rest in peace...

Money also facilitates, and above all, the negative aspects of existence, amplifying weaknesses and making one fragile in the face of "jackals".
