Nosy question, why do you think one should buy a CD today?
D'I mean, on YouTube there is more than what one might be interested in... give me some good reasons why someone should wear down the family assets to buy music?

Reasons?
1) the audio quality. for me it is already a sufficient reason.
2) if an artist I appreciate gets a financial return (which certainly won't hurt their continued pursuit of Art) also thanks to my modest contribution with the purchase of one of their CDs . . . I am soberly proud.

to support an artist or a record label, because the audio quality is better, because the booklet is beautiful or has unfindable content, because you need to give it as a gift, because that thing is only available on CD and not on YouTube...

I will add that, personally, I am a cursed CD fetishist (and book fetishist too): I have a couple thousand classical music CDs, I have bought no more than 10 euros worth of music on iTunes (and generally they were things I "needed" in the lowest sense of the term), I use YouTube a lot like everyone else naturally, but if something interests me, I buy it. I like the object; I am sick, but I don't want to be cured!

my boyfriend is a CD and vinyl fetishist.
I am not, to tell the truth...
