She was a fervent supporter of the Nazi Party, as well as a convinced antisemite. The Americans "bought her" ... but she wasn't even well-accepted in her own home.

She plays badly and with bad taste, not only difficult to match but also unimaginable; in my opinion, there is no need to give four slaps to the keyboard at the easiest point, or change the tempo three or four times without it ever being quite right to avoid disaster.

If this Presto from op.27 no. 2 doesn't convince you, try listening to her Mozart or her Schubert, or the bombastic rhetoric of her Emperor.

To me, it seems that she is the perfect opposite of Myra Hess; bad luck dictates that she is also Buscaroli's favorite pianist, and the latest comment on YouTube is from a naive person who compares her to Horowitz and Rubinstein, two true artists whom she would have done without... quite "physically" (Horowitz, then; also Russian and half-gay, as well as Jewish).
