I purchased a new Yamaha U1 4 months ago, which has already undergone two tunings, the second one after 3 months.
After this one, I encountered some small problems, such as a buzz in some of the central strings, particularly when holding down the sustain pedal. These have since almost resolved themselves.
Furthermore, the F and A keys of the second octave above middle C seemed—excuse the term—a bit "deflated," in the sense that especially when playing loudly and in fast passages or with repeated notes, it seemed to me that I heard a less intense sound, and that the key had a sort of resistance at the end of its stroke.
Before the second tuning, however, this was not happening; it seems to me that it emerged about two weeks after.
When playing softly, for example, I also tried with the practice pedal (una corda), it doesn't seem to me that there is a problem with the key dip, it feels the same as the other keys.
I then thought that it might be due to less vibration received by the F hammer when it strikes its strings, especially in forte, as if its strings, having been more tensioned during the second tuning, transmitted less energy to the hammer compared to the adjacent keys, and that what I feel as a small resistance with my finger while the key is pressed is due not to a different dip but to this fact, simultaneous with a less intense sound.
This thing, moreover, does not happen every single time I play F. I had an analogous problem with A, but it resolved itself. With F, it persists for now...
Could it be that the position is also a factor, since the aforementioned F strings are the closest to the vertical "bar" on the frame from which the treble strings begin?
Thank you for the answer; above all, I wouldn't want to bother my tuner too much, who is also the one who sold me the piano, since the second tuning was indeed done only a month ago.
