Hello everyone, I am about to purchase a Yamaha U3 Silent from the years 1965/1966, completely refurbished in Japan with original Yamaha parts.

I was wondering if such an age could be a problem qualitatively speaking, and if a price around 5,000 euros could be a good deal.

I repeat that the piano is nonetheless completely refurbished, like new.

I tried it personally and the piano seems excellent to me.

Personally, I am against the Silent system. As for its age, it remains to be seen. The price seems a bit low to have been "refurbished." And then, what does the intervention consist of? Which parts? Has the hammer rail been replaced? Keyboard felts? Center pins of the action? Dampers? It all remains to be seen ......and heard
