i wanted to ask your opinion... what do you think...
on my yamaha u3h this happens to me ...(it's nothing serious... more of a curiosity than anything else)
when I play a beautiful two-handed chord in the middle octave pianissimo without the sustain pedal, everything is perfect; when I play it pressing the sustain pedal first, I hear a sort of metallic click (..I don't know if it could be the springs, the sustain pedal bar which has lately started to creak very slightly, or something else).
This click only happens the first time I play the chord... if I play it again while holding the pedal down, it doesn't happen anymore.
i would be very grateful if you could give me your opinion.
i call it a butterfly screw in English the exact term is wing nut, check that it isn't the cause; when you actuate the pedal at least two rods attached perpendicularly and tightened with felt and this screw move against gravity to raise the dampers, if this screw is loose it produces resonances that create a truly unbearable discomfort even for tolerant ears... obviously to see it you would have to know how to open the panel between the pedal lyre and the keyboard, if it's not this wait for the technician and send him in search of the cause
