This is a bass line that a friend from the forum proposed to me; I am submitting it to you for anyone who might want to propose their own harmonization: the most "shy" ones, as usual, can rely on me for an "anonymous" publication.
In this space we can discuss any difficulties related to the bass line.
Too much philosophy fills the Forums, but if this is the home of music and in particular of the piano, then it is an obligation since I, like many others, and to this like everyone (one never stops learning), bow before those who know even just one thing more than us!!!!
good, good like that.
Post licks, patterns, phrasing, exercises, videos, audio............
A bit tough for me to analyze, it seems a bit truncated at the end to me... in fact, that chorus is a good part of the bass repeated 3 times... challenging not to get bored. Jazz or not jazz, it sounds very unique.
Thanks guys, actually the piece has major issues with coherence... ideas (maybe good ones) but a bit left to chance, in fact it is truncated Aspirante and the chorus disoriented me a bit.
I would say it's not easy to do something remotely professional ... it was a bit just for fun
I am happy that you are having fun and that is what I am trying to do too... I am convinced that a certain dose of lightheartedness brings freshness to ideas.
Ale's sounds very good... a pity about the brevity, I would invest in this piece to make it something more substantial.
Perhaps Tronky's is a bit too tortuous, but very harmonically rich.
What can I say, shortly I will also post my "relative" solace
I tried playing it a little bit, I just didn't understand one thing in the third to last bar: the E# tied from the previous bar where you say it is an appoggiatura .... but of which note?
I mean, in the third to last bar specifically, E# is enharmonically F, so ... I didn't understand
I took a look at Classic's one; the 43 suspension without the fifth on beat 2 is a bit unrefined in my opinion; also, the doubling of the leading tone at 3 might not be optimal. The final part seems too distant (in terms of harmonic content) compared to the initial part which, although filled with suspensions, is very classical.
I find it important to have fun in these initiatives and indeed you say that in the end you let yourself go a little bit
