Hi guys!!

In your opinion, what can one buy that is good for listening to classical music with 200-300 euros?

Some of my friends have recommended a tube amplifier with speakers. What choice would you make?

Should I settle for the MP3 player for now and wait to invest a more substantial amount, or can I purchase something decent?

Thanks.

Sorry for the title of this topic, even though I thought I had entered it correctly.

Anyway, I wanted to write:

Eh yes Triade I had thought about it, even if with a good sound card and some good headphones I can easily exceed the indicated amount.

I was leaning more towards buying something like this:

with a good sound card.

Changed the title. Regarding the budget, here is what I think you can do, Umberto...

A pair of Tannoy Mercury V1 (you can also find them for €180 a pair, but many sell them for €240 a pair; I'll attach the eBay links so you can save quite a bit of money), they are monitor speakers on which classical music sounds very good, but they are passive, so you need to amplify them. Applicable power: 50W continuous RMS, 100W maximum peak.

You can also find the speakers HERE.

If you trust buying from abroad, you save a lot of money. Here is a link HERE.

For the amplifier, I recommend this one... It doesn't cost excessively and works very well. (This listing is for a used-as-new item); if the link expires, the amplifier is an ONKYO A-9211 integrated amplifier. The link is THIS.

Obviously, this is not a solution for a 100sqm room; it holds up well up to 20-25sqm given the wattage.

You can't listen to classical music on headphones! It's a mortal sin.

For goodness' sake!! A tube device to do what? To color even more a sound that is already colored in the studio? Mmmmm I don't support that choice!

Thanks Simone for the answer. I am looking for something to listen to music in my room without headphones and I needed some advice (since I don't know anything about it).

Pity that I can't hear everything before buying :/... anyway I will keep you updated. Ciauu

I believe the solution I recommended to you is the best for your budget and it is fine for an environment that is not necessarily large like your room.
